50th - Pickleball!
Bob Devine reports:
There were so many classmates who were playing for the first time or relatively new to the sport that we just wanted people to play without worrying about keeping track of winner's/loser's brackets. There were about 16 people who showed up to play while another 8-10 watched. There was a lot of teaching, explaining the rules 0f the game and encouraging going on so that people experienced a positive feeling about Pickleball. A few newbies even loved it so much that they announced their intention to go buy Pickleball paddles and join a group wherever they live. In the end it was Eve Patterson vs Bob Devine one on one with a fun, competitive match.
Pickles were passed out to all those that stuck it out to the end of the activity and helped clean up the area. Fortunately, the Reunion Committee brought a lot of iced bottles of water which were appreciated since it was toasty and yours truly got a major sunburn!
